This USB-C multiport adapter with DP 1.4 supports 4K 60Hz HDMI® (HDR) and turns your MacBook Pro, Dell XPS, or other USB-C™ laptops or tablet into a workstation, anywhere you go. Note
The multifunction adapter does not include a USB-C power adapter. Optional: the multifunction adapter can be used with a separate USB-C power adapter (for example, your laptops USB-C based power adapter)
Not all USB-C ports support the full functionality of the USB Type-C standard. Ensure that your host USB-C port supports USB Power Delivery and DP alt mode
The adapter can connect to a host laptops USB-C port that doesnt support USB Power Delivery. However, in this configuration if a power adapter is connected to the multifunction adapter, it will not pass power through to your host laptop
